This particular body of work was created and completing during my pregnancy and immediate postpartum life. Each work aligns with a particular week of pregnancy, while focusing on a marriage between control and lack of control with the mediums and existence as I grew a human. Naturally drawn to marine life and plants, the work exists as a base-note, a place I could return to as a means to re-center.
flukes & flora was exhibited at Coffeehouse Northwest in Oct 2016.
